I was asked a few months ago to produce a video for a middle school in Iowa. The intrepid teachers there have been soliciting videos from celebrities (e.g., Nancy Cartwright, the band of the Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert, etc.)–and I was asked to help them out. Archaeologists are like celebrities…

I had a great time shooting on the Acropolis, showing the students the monuments there. I then gave them their twelve vocabulary words (related to the Percy Jackson series), which were gods names.

I had a lot of fun, and I hope that they continue reading and loving archaeology!
